What is a vape device?

A vape device turns liquid into vapour via heat.

The device vaporisers and does not combust like cigarettes. This reduces harm as it does not produce carcinogens and toxicants responsible for smoking related diseases.

The device consists of a battery, a heating element and a reservoir for e-liquid.

What are the contents of e-liquid?

E-liquid used in vape devices are usually made of nicotine, propylene glycol, glycerine and flavourings.

Most toxic chemicals found in cigarettes are not present in vape.

How do we know vaping is less harmful?

There have been multiple international studies supporting vape as a less harmful alternative to tobacco smoking.

These studies were completed by reliable international bodies such as the Public Health England, Cochrane, etc.
